Paul Lewis is a writer, graphic designer, president of Smart Families, Inc. and founder of Family University. He created and has edited Smart DADS newsletter since 1978, and launched Smart Families magazine in 1995. Many thousands of parents across America have found in these publications the practical insights and creative ideas needed be effective in raising their children and crafting strong marriages.

Paul was a founding board member of the National Center for Fathering and has given testimony to a House Congressional Committee on the father's role in family strengths. Paul is author of several books and resources including The Five Key Habits of Smart Dads, The Complete Smart Dads Toolkit, 40 Ways to Teach Your Child Values and coauthor of 30 Days to a Smart Family.

With his wife, Leslie, Paul lives in Murrieta, California. They have five children--three sons and two daughters--ranging in age from seventeen to two married daughters. They have one grandchild.
