Insight:

Whether your wedding anniversary is next week or months from now, you've probably learned the hard way that forgetting your anniversary isn't a good thing. Even more rewarding than remembering the date on your own is to have planned something special ahead of time."

This week’s TIP:

Wedding anniversary "ransom":

Two or three days before your anniversary (while she's still wondering if you will remember the date), pick out an item of sentimental value to her--a stuffed animal, framed photo, special knickknack, etc.. Take it away and leave in its place a "ransom note". Make the note by taping to a sheet of paper words you have cut out of a magazine or newspaper. The note should explain that if she ever wants to see her [name the item] again, she must show up at a certain time and place and dressed in a particular way (if that's important).

Of course, you will be waiting there with the stolen item and a bouquet of flowers, ready to begin the anniversary celebration you've planned. (Modify this idea as appropriate to your purposes.)
